Below are some common pieces of tech you may see being used in the show.
EMF meters measure fluctuations in electromagnetic fields (EMF). Theories suggest that ghosts have the ability to manipulate these fields. An EMF meter is a staple piece of equipment used to detect sources of EMFs, or possible manipulation, in order to document and promote potential communication with these entities.
A REM pod is a piece of equipment that identifies changes in ambient temperature. It uses a miniature, telescopic antenna to radiate its own independent electromagnetic field (EMF) around the instrument. As the energy from a potential paranormal entity influences the field LED lights are activated based on proximity, strength, and EMF distortion.
This device rapidly sweeps AM and FM frequencies creating a white noise effect. This is said to allow spirits to use the energy to manipulate it to form words and phrases. Clear sounds, that sometimes are identified as intelligent responses, occur across multiple frequencies. It’s believed, the faster the sweep, the clearer the communication.
